Founding Promotion terms and conditions

1. Definitions

• "Launch" means the day Masterly first opens its platform to the public in Victoria, as announced by Masterly.
• "Free Period" means the period of three months starting on the day of Launch.
• "Platform Fees" means the fees Masterly charges for use of the platform, including connection fees, service fees, commissions and booking fees.
• "Master" means a service provider who uses Masterly to offer services, and "customer" means a person who uses Masterly to find and book them.

2. The Founding Master offer

A Master who qualifies under clause 4 (a "Founding Master") receives:

• Free registration. There is no cost to join.
• Zero Platform Fees during the Free Period. This covers both commission on jobs and any connection fees that would ordinarily apply.
• First mover advantage. Founding Masters are listed first when Masterly begins paid advertising to customers at Launch, as set out in clause 7.

3. The Founding Customer offer

A customer who qualifies under clause 4 (a "Founding Customer") receives:

• Free registration. There is no cost to join.
• No connection fees during the Free Period.
• No booking fees on jobs completed during the Free Period.
• First access to verified, experienced Masters at Launch, as set out in clause 7.

4. Eligibility

Founding Masters

• You must register as a Master at masterlymarketplace.com/offer-expertise before Launch.
• You must be a resident of Victoria aged 50 or over.
• You must meet Masterly's standard eligibility requirements for Masters set out in Masterly's Platform Terms and Conditions.

Founding Customers

• You must register as a customer at masterlymarketplace.com/find-help before Launch.
• The fee waivers in clause 3 apply to jobs located in Victoria. You do not need to live in Victoria.
• You must meet Masterly's standard eligibility requirements for customers set out in Masterly's Platform Terms and Conditions.

Both offers

• Each offer applies once per person. It is not transferable to another person or account.

5. Verification and onboarding

Founding Masters

Registering secures your place in the Promotion. It does not, by itself, allow you to list services or take jobs on Masterly, and registration alone does not activate the benefit.

Before you can list or take jobs, you must complete Masterly's standard Master verification process. This requirement applies to every Master, whether or not they joined through this Promotion, and is not an additional condition of the offer.

Founding Customers

To use Masterly, customers complete Masterly's standard onboarding. This may include verifying your email address and phone number, and providing payment details before you can post a job. These requirements are set out in Masterly's Platform Terms and Conditions, which will be finalised before Launch and which you must accept to use the platform. They may change before Launch. Registering for this offer does not replace them.

6. How the Free Period works

• The Free Period is a fixed period of three months starting on the day of Launch. It is not paused, extended or carried forward if you are not active on the platform for some or all of that time.
• A Platform Fee is waived if the event that triggers it happens during the Free Period. A connection fee is triggered when a Master is selected for a job. A service fee, commission or booking fee is triggered when a job is completed.
• The Free Period does not cover the price of any service, taxes, charges made by third parties, or any optional paid feature or product that Masterly offers separately.
• Standard Platform Fees apply after the Free Period ends.
• Masterly's standard Platform Fees have not been finalised at the time of these terms. Masterly will publish them before any Platform Fee is charged. Nothing in this Promotion sets, limits or guarantees them.

7. First mover advantage and first access

Founding Masters

When Masterly begins paid advertising to customers at Launch, Founding Masters will be listed first. Masterly decides the format, channels and order in which Founding Masters are featured. This is a promotional benefit only. It does not guarantee any number of enquiries, bookings or earnings, or any particular position in search results.

Founding Customers

Masterly will let Founding Customers know when the platform opens and invite them to use it at Launch, ahead of its general promotion. First access does not guarantee that a Master will be available for a particular job, location or time.

8. Launch and changes to the Promotion

• Masterly may vary the timing of Launch.
• Masterly may vary or withdraw the Promotion at any time before Launch. Masterly will take reasonable steps to notify registered people of any change, including by publishing it at masterlymarketplace.com.
• Once Launch has occurred, Masterly will not shorten the Free Period for a person who qualified.
• If Masterly changes the structure or names of its Platform Fees, the waiver will apply to the closest equivalent fee, acting reasonably.

9. General

• This Promotion is offered at Masterly's discretion and is not a guarantee of any fee-free access beyond the Free Period.
• This Promotion sits alongside, and does not replace, Masterly's Platform Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply to your use of Masterly.
• If there is any conflict between these Promotion terms and the Platform Terms and Conditions on a matter not addressed here, the Platform Terms and Conditions apply.
• Masterly may end a person's participation in this Promotion if they have provided false information during registration or verification, or have breached Masterly's Platform Terms and Conditions.
